  • Lovely post! I really want to try the Collection Lasting Perfection Ultimate Last Concealer!

Would you mind following me on BlogLovin‘ https://www.bloglovin.com/blogs/darriyancateland-14535159

    • I am very picky when it comes to Concealer, and that one is well worth the hype.

      • Same! I’ve got such pale skin i have to find specific shades to suit me! I will defo be giving this a try after reading x

  • Noortje Wijckmans

Great video! I also love my MaxFactor Cream Puff Blush, but I have a different color!

    • Which color do you have? I want to get some more, but havent decided which color to go for.

      • Noortje Wijckmans

I have the Lovely Pink one, it’s very similar to yours I think but just a bit lighter.

  • Aisha

Ooh you have a yt channel 🙂 nice! Happy New Year xx

    • Thank you. Do you do YouTube?

      • Aisha

No 🙂 but maybe one day.. who knows! Now I’m happy with my blog and I want to improve. Also I don’t know anything about editing a vidoe eheh

        • I didn’t either, but it is something you can pick up very quickly, at least the basics.

  • I really struggle to find eyeshadow primers that work for me and I have to say that my paintpots are the only kind of primers that really make a huge difference on the longevity of my eye makeup ( still doesn’t last all day though). As you already know, I share your misunderstanding about the Chanel nail polishes, I love them and never understand the criticisms around it!

    • To be honest, I havent tried much else apart from one from Artdeco ages ago. That one was okay, but the Paintpots are better.

      • I did try a lot of them and waste a lot of money in them and, so far, the paintpots are the ones which work the best, at least on me!

        • And they do enhance colors, depending on which shade you choose.

  • Tolles Video Anne. Wünsch dir ein frohes neues Jahr und alles gute für 2016!

  • I still haven’t tried L’Oreal super liner. I use eyeliners almost everyday too, it makes me look more awake. Good that you like the concealer, it is really long lasting. My 2016 list is growing too, there are so many things I want to try out, more on the skincare range tho.

    • I keep everything on my Pinterest board, and decided to divide it in skincare, hair care and makeup recently because it got out of hand…

  • I rarely use eyeliner that isn’t pencil, so I’m not very skilled with Super Liner-type liners. I can totally relate with your love for MAC lippies though! I am wearing one today, See Sheer.

    • Pencils seem to „soft“ on me, I feel like I look more tired when I use them. Maybe I am just using the wrong ones though.

  • Emily

You have a really great presence on camera – can’t believe I’ve never watched you before! I also love superliner – such a brilliant product!

    Musings & More

    • Thank you. It is my third video, I only recently started doing YT, so you haven’t missed much.

  • I enjoyed hearing about your favorites. I know I still owe you the comparison between the Hourglass and Max Factor blushes…I almost thought my name was coming up in the video when you mentioned them, lol. My Hourglass blush is my all time favorite blush! And I think Mac lipsticks are the best too!

    • I thought about mentioning you, but I didn’t want to be too pushy. I know you will do it whenever you find the time.

  • Mary Kate

I’m such a huge fan of MAC lipsticks!

    Mary Kate

  • This is like your… 3rd video? You are so confident in camera I am feeling jealous!

    Kate Louise Blogs

    • I think there are a few Chubby Sticks that would really suit you, like Bountiful Beige. It is a great everyday color.

  • Great video, you’re so cute!

I’ve been more into MAC lipsticks this year, I bought 2 new ones (at least… I hope I remember all of them, lol!).

    • It is so hard to keep track of everything you buy throughout the year, especially when it comes to lipsticks.

  • Tal

I loved this vid, keep up the ace work! I really want a clinique chubby stick!

  • Fifty Shades Of Pink

I just love the MAC lipsticks, there’s no way around it.

Really can’t go wrong with MAC lipsticks can you, you have some gorgeous shades 🙂

    Claire | Stylingo.co.uk xx

  • I haven’t used any MAC products in a number of years but you’re reminding me of how much I used to like their lipsticks. Dark Deed looks like a gorgeous shade. Makeup products I loved last year included Benefit Roller Lash Mascara and RMS Living Luminizer.

    • I try to use it sparingly, as it was Limited Edition, but I love it around this time of the year.
My sister gave me the Benefit Roller Lash mascara for Christmas, I am excited to try it.

  • Love the blusher and the Chanel nail polish! Another great video Anne. Gemma xx

  • You were right about part II 🙂 ! Happy New Year!

  • I love how there’s always something on your blog that I fall absolutely in love with, and that I find myself wanting – badly! I’ve never thought about using Mac paintpots as a base for the eyeshadow (comes to show how much of a proud you are) buut this genious. I’ll have to honestly give it a try.

I love finding out new products, especially when I trust the person doing the review so much. So thank you!

Your eyes are so pretty too. Over all, amazing posts as per usual! (Also adding Maxfactor to my shopping list ahah)

    Ella Pinto

    • Thank you, Ella.
The great thing about the MAC Paintpots is that they come in a variety of colors, so you can use them as colored base as well. Groundwork is great to wear under darker colors, but also lovely as a quick wash of color on it´s own.
And if you enjoyed the makeup, I have a tutorial coming up on this look on the 17th.

  • Kelly M

You are now officially a Vlogger!! Looks like I have missed quite a bit since I have been gone. Happy New Year to you 🙂 2015 was an exceptional product year for you I see.. I have feeling 2016 will be just as fruitful! Did you change the layout of your blog? Loving the new look!

    • Yes, I moved to wordpress in November, I felt like it was time for a change! And it is my third video, so I am not sure whether I can be considered a vlogger quite yet. Still testing the waters, I guess.

Happy New Year to you too.

  • Nicole

Awesome video! And I love the makeup selection! 😉

New post on GIRL ABOUT TOWN BLOG

  • Yay to another video, Anne! And did you get professional lighting because the video is beautifully lit and very clear! I have seen a few really good reviews on Collection concealer but it’s also not available here in Canada. 🙁 As on the eyeliner, I use it almost everyday too and will keep the L’Oreal one in mind the next time I need a new one.

Reflection of Sanity | StayLean Tea Australia Giveaway

    • I got lighting back in October, because I take most of my pictures in the evening and couldn’t do without it anymore. But I am still experimenting, I used it in all my videos so far. Unfortunately buying is only half the work, you have to learn how to use it as well…

      • May I know which lighting you are using and how you’re liking it so far? Is it worth the purchase?

        • I am using two of these: http://www.amazon.de/DÖRR-Dauerlicht-DLP-820-LEDs-6-300/dp/B00CUJK8NS
They are really pricey, but I read many reviews beforehand and decided to spend the money once and be done with it, instead of buying chapter ones now and the other ones when I moved on to You Tube. It was my reward to myself after being back to work for six months and really working my b*tt off.
But there are great and more affordable options out there as well.

That being said, I like them so far, but I still need to figure out how to use them properly and, more important how to use my camera to really benefit from them.

  • Kay (shoesandglitter)

Great video as always, dear! I too can’t imagine going out without applying eyeliner these days… It makes such a difference to my eyes! I’m really loving the Master Ink eyeliner by Maybelline atm. 🙂 And yay to the Chanel nail polish! I have the same one as you know, (different shade), and it lasts about five days on my nails without chipping at all. Deffo worth the money! x

    • I will try the Maybelline one next time I get a new one, there are so many amazing drugstore versions!

  • Dylana

Love this! Such a well done video!

  • Lauren Blair .

Lol my friend said that too (about Back to the Future). Great video! Happy 2016! XO

  • I usually use Urban Decay for my eye shadow primer but I have been thinking about switching to MAC’s paint pot! I’ve heard really good things about it and I want to try it out!!

    Shannon Sage

    • I have a sample of the UD primer potion, but I haven’t used it yet, so I can´t compare.

  • I’ve heard great things about the Collection concealer, but it’s a pity they don’t come in more shades. I can’t seem to find a shade that will work for me.

    • The companies really should come out with a variety of colors suited to very fair and very deep skin tones. It is a shame that the shade selection is so limited.

  • Love your faves and your video is great. Have a wonderful 2016, Anne 🙂 -Maireem

    My Fair Autumn | Instagram

  • Look at you, becoming a great YouTuber and all 🙂 Great video and that MaxFactor blush looks so good!

    -Leta | The Nerdy Me

    • With a grand total of three videos?
The blush really is good, I will have to look into some more colors.

      • Three videos are great too, it’s not about quantity 🙂

  • I wish we could have Collection in the USA!

    • I know that you can get it in the UK, but we don’t get it here either. I just don’t understand how brands decide where to sell stuff, but to be honest I have never looked to much into who owns who, and I guess that is the main reason.

  • I don’t really like the Collection concealer for under the eyes as I find it a bit drying but it’s great for blemishes or any sort of touch up on the skin. Seductive Pink is such a pretty blush. Every time I see you showing it on your blog I wanna go out and buy it but I need to try and use the ones I already have so will wait. I’ve played with them in store and they do look lovely! xx

    Renata | Speaking Beauty UK

    • I prefer the Fit Me concealer under my eyes as well, but I usually use a corrector there and the concealer only on top of that, which prevents the dryness.
Using the blushes I already own… A recurring resolution, at least here in my parts.

  • I love the Clinique chubby sticks! Clinique has become my favourite brand, as I don’t have weird reactions to any of their products! Great video 🙂

    Pop over to my blog!

    • I got a whole set for Christmas, including a blush stick and some more lipsticks. I am so excited to try them.

  • Seductive Pink is also one of my favourite 2015 blushes, so pretty! x

    Mummy’s Beauty Corner

  • A great review here! Enjoyed watching this. I love MAC lipsticks, my favourite at the moment is Paramount, also really like Sin, Diva, Film Noir.

The Chanel Cinema looks gorgeous 🙂

I LOVE makeup products as I’m sure you know. At the moment I’m loving a range from Charlotte Tilbury, MAC, NARS, Benefit and many more. I reviewed 66 of my favourites of 2015 here http://shehearts.net/2015-beauty/ 🙂

    Thanks for sharing!

    Laura http://www.shehearts.net xx

    • Yes, I remember reading it. I haven’t tried Charlotte Tilbury yet, it is on my list of brands to try in 2016.
