Inspired by… IsaDora Bohemian Flair Fall 2016 Collection

If you are not familiar with the „Inspired by…“ series, click here for an explanation.
But short story even shorter, each month I choose a seasonal ad and try to recreate the models look with colors I already own.
Dressing up and awkward posing included!

And even though it was 35 degree out there when I sat down to film, it was time for the Fall campaigns. That one is the one my husband chose. For it´s natural look. Ah, men, how little do they know…

    • I love gradient lips, but on an every day basis I don´t tend to fuss with two different lip products. I really should though, the effect is amazing.

  • You look amazing in this look. I’d say it should be your fall go to look! It’s subtle but still a little glam! And of course, I know Groucho!

  • Gorgeous! I would definitely wear this look and I used to buy a lot of isaDora products when I lived in Poland. Their eyeshadows are really good!

    • I only ever tried a powder, but I liked that a lot. It is a brand I tend to overlook.

  • I love warm makeup! For real, I rock it all year long and never care. (; Fall is the best because everyone’s doing it so I feel extra trendy. This is such a flattering look on you!

    • I usually wear warm makeup as well, and I wear what I want all year around, but I like to change things up a little with the seasons, otherwise I wouldn’t get much use out of my gigantic stash 😉

  • Turned out more romantic than I thought it would be! Must be the lighting on the commercial picture!! I love the look on you!!

    • I wish I had professional lighting and a photographer as well, but I have to make do with just myself.

  • I much prefer the lippie you picked – it looks more wearable. 🙂

    • I like the one she is wearing, but I just had´t anything exactly the same, and as the goal is to use what I already own, I had to improvise.

  • I had never heard about IsaDora at all, but the visual looks great. The eye makeup you created is great, and so is the shade of the Clinique lip pencil! I never use lip brushes because I find that they don’t apply the colour evenly most of the time though. Have you noticed that as well?

    • No, I haven’t. Usually I like a lip brush for darker lips, as my lips are quite thin and I get an exact edge that way. But I feel like a lip brush needs to be very dense, almost like a real paint brush, to work like I want it to.

I’m so into natural looks lately so I love your hubby’s pick. You did the look justice! Very beautiful.

    • I like it a lot as well, I think I will adopt it for the upcoming season.

  • I really like the softness of this look. I find purples are always pretty no matter your eye color.

  • You look frickin‘ gorgeous, girl! Love the eye look! Very cool also with the two-tone lip.

    • I love two tone lips, but they are so much hassle on an everyday basis.

  • The campaign shot is gorgeous (thanks for the introduction!) and you’ve colour-matched the eyeshadow perfectly!

    • Thank you. Do you wear purples?

      • Kate

Very rarely, although I love purple tones. I have very little purple makeup in my collection for some reason. X

  • This is a gorgeous recreation, dear. And lol, Mr Loca. He made a great choice, nonetheless!

    • He did, but what en consider a „natural look“ is ridiculous more often than not.

  • I love this fall makeup look. This video is so nice! Great job Linda. I would totally wear this look. When I put up my fall blog posts, I will probably go with something similar.

  • So pretty!

  • I do know IsaDora, but I’ve never tried anything from them.
I much more prefer your version of the look than the original!

    • I only ever tried a powder. That was great, I still enjoy using it for touchups throughout the day, but somehow the brand is off-radar for me.

    • Danke. Ich bin sicher, diese Farben würden Dir auch ausgezeichnet stehen.

  • That’s not exactly „natural“ but probably more than some looks you’ve done before, so I can see why your husband would say that. I think as long as there are no bright colors it can fall in the „natural“ category for guys, lol!

    Beaumiroir

  • Typical men to laugh about the application of contour and highlight! My boyfriend does that as well – he calls it „clown makeup“ until it’s blended lol. I wouldn’t say this is natural… unless someone is gifted with thick, full eyebrows… long black lashes and full lips haha!
It’s a beautiful autumn look though.

    • I guess Mr. Loca expect to see women that really look like that in the morning after getting up. It must a be an 80s misconception installed into mens heads after watching too much Pamela Anderson in Baywatch.
