Inspired by … Lancome French Innocence Collection Spring 2015

If you are not familiar with the “Inspired by…”-series, click here. Short story even shorter, I try to recreate the makeup worn by a model in the ad for a seasonal campaign with the makeup I already own.

This time I chose Lancome´s French Innocence Collection.
Paris and France really have a moment this spring. Not that I am complaining, I love France and going to Paris in spring (and eating my body weight in macarons) is something I would totally do.

Lancome French Innocence Spring 2015

What drew me to this campaign (despite the thought of macarons) was the eye makeup. The combination of green and orange, paired with a pigmented pink lip aren’t what I expect to see in spring.

And they aren’t something I would ever think of wearing, either. Greens with green eyes? Orange in the crease? I figured I would look like a parrot, but decided to give it a go anyway.
Makeup is all about leaving your comfort zone sometimes!

Actually very happy with the look!

After priming my lid and lower lash line with MAC Paint Pot in “Painterly”, I used  MAC “Shimmer Moss” on an angled brush around my upper lash line and the outer half of the lower lash line, layering the shadow for color intensity.
Then I took MAC “Saffron” into my crease, sheering it out with a blending brush.
To add some drama, I tightlined the outer corner of my upper and lower waterline and applied Artdeco Ultra Effect Mascara.
Here a close up of the eyes:

The only lip product from my collection that came close (but still wasn’t vibrant enough) was MAC´s Lipglass in Rose Hue.

On my face I used Garniers BB Cream (Review here) and a little bit of The Body Shop Honey Bronzer in 02. To get a dewy spring skin (and because Agata kept telling me to use my highlighters) I dusted some MAC Shell Pearl Beautypowder across my cheekbones, bridge of the nose and cupids bow.
