Inspired by Too Faced Sweet Peach Spring 2017 Collection

If you are not familiar with the „Inspired by…“ series, click here for an explanation.
But short story even shorter, each month I choose a seasonal ad and try to recreate the models look with colors I already own.
Dressing up and awkward posing included!

And this months installment is the Too Faced Sweet Peach Spring 2017 collection, and it is all down to you guys!

You may not have known what you were voting for, but you recently got to decide on Twitter whether I was going to do the Too Faced Sweet Peach Spring 2017 or the MAC Work It Out look.

You see, I don’t really wear much pink. Not in my clothes, not in my hair, not in my face. Even when I was a kid my mother used to dress me all blue. People would of course mistake me for a boy, but a pale blonde baby dressed in pink? Not a pretty sight, at least not with my coloring.

So my first impulse was to forego the pinks and pastel and opt for a bold graphic liner, but somehow that felt like chickening out. I mean, pink and pastel inevitably belong to spring, don´t they? And as the majority of you voted for pink and pastel anyway, I decided to give it a go.

Reluctantly. But in the end I am glad I did it.

Yes, it is an apple. I can explain.

Makeup should be about experimenting and pushing boundaries, and after I ventured deeply into the territory of Barbie, I can safely say: I am not a pink girl.

And I never will be.

To see if you agree with me and to find out why on earth I am holding an apple in my hand, kindly refer to the video. Of course best watched on You Tube and in HD.

Oh, and as the disclaimer happens somehow in the middle of the video: Don´t put blush on your eyes, you really should stick to designated eye products to avoid irritation. I just happened to only own one pink eyeshadow and am a notorious rulebreaker and badass.
