June 2016 Favorites

Another month, another favorites post. Ain´t that how it goes? I will tell you what was not my favorite this month in the post here:

The weather!

June 2016 Favorites

You see, it was raining pretty much all June, and with June 21th coming along, I knew the days were going to get shorter. Now I am all about those long, warm and light summer evenings spend outdoors with friends and a cold drink, and if that didn´t happen before the nights are getting longer again, I feel cheated.

But enough moaning about the weather, it is time for the things I enjoyed!

Please watch in HD and on You Tube for the ultimate viewing pleasure and stay tuned for the bloopers in the end.

  • I can’t thank you enough for the Body Shop Lightening drops, it truly opens so many doors in the foundation department, I feel like I can finally try all the foundations I want, without having to worry too much about the shade!

    • Don´t thank me, we do enable each other. And I feel the same way: I get so much use out of foundations I thought I´d never be able to use (again), and it makes shopping for foundation less stressful.

  • I love watching you, the bloppers are too funny!

I watch very little of any TV shows, not even sure why. I watch a lot of cooking shows and I am even behind on my fav Mindy Project!

I love your hair when it’s all up and braided, I really wish I knew how to do my hair like that!

    Agata http://herandmakeup.com

    • It is really easy, a dutch braid starting from the crown and then connected in the back.

  • I am going to have to try the Adjusting Drops back when the weather gets darker.

  • The Essie polish is a beautifully bright colour for summer. Up until this week, I would have said it was way too bright, but now I’m wearing bright coral on my nails so there we go haha.

  • Would really like to try the moisturizer. Been looking for something new to try.

  • Sounds like some good products, I’ve not tried the Ole Henriksen facial oil yet, but I’ve loved most all of their products so far, except their facial cleansing wipes. I think I’d love that scented candle. 🙂
    Summer Champs

    • I am not a fan of any kind of wipes, so I guess I would pass on them as well.

  • I’ve got to get that shade in watermelon. I can’t believe I don’t have it!

GLG Ivi

  • Dressed With Soul

    http://www.dressedwithsoul.com

      • Dressed With Soul

  • That Laura Mercier product does look like it provides pretty good coverage for a tinted moisturizer. Lately I’m loving a skin serum with real gold and royal jelly.

  • I love that oil too!

  • You are too funny! And that watermelon shade looks so delicious.

Anne! I haven’t even watched the video yet but had to post this first. I had to take a break from blogging for a while but I can’t tell you the number of times I thought of you and whether or not you’d had the baby and how you were doing!! After I watch this favorites video, I’m off to hunt for updates on the baby front. I hope you’re well lovely. 🙂

    https://beautifulbliss12.blogspot.com/

    • There aren’t as many updates regarding the baby except that I have it (and me moaning about how tired I am). We don´t star much about our children on the internet. But it is a boy, he is a real sunshine, our daughter loves him and we are very happy. And tired, of course 😉
I will read you life update a little later, I saw you posted again, but I have been without internet for the last 12 hours.

  • Thoroughly enjoyed this video!

  • I am so used to that hot summer days, it has been bloody hot in Istanbul-over 30 all the time with humidity is not good, and when I go to the UK, I will probably complain about the cold summer days! Are you also watching football with your husband? There’s a quarter final tomorrow 😉

    Ela BellaWorld

    • No. Neither my husband nor I have any interest in football. I used to watch semi-finals/finals in public viewing for the event, but no more now that we have the kids… Do you watch?

  • The watermelon nail polish looks such a great colour. Will be watching the video now 😀

    • Oh, thank you, that is such a nice thing to say. I do enjoy making the videos, and I am glad that it shoes through.

  • Weather here has been awful too and I’m already worrying that I won’t do the most out of the long Summer evenings.

The Ole Henriksen facial oil is my favourite too. x

    Mummy’s Beauty Corner

    • I have read about it on your blog before. Have you tried anything else from the brand?

      • Yes, I did! Also loved the Invigorating Night Treatment, Truth Collagen Booster serum and the Lemon Peel. I actually need to repurchase some of these products as they really worked well for my skin.

  • I like the lightening drops! I use around half a drop which lightens my tinted moisturizer perfectly. More than one full drop makes it a bit ashy though, so I stick to a very small amount.
Essie Watermelon is perfect for summer, I need to use mine up more!

I am always up for bloopers!! Such a funny video too!

Hubby loves and plays on a weekly basis. He is passionate about it. First off I love your braid! Different good. Shade adjusting drops sounds great. #hoarderproblems had me cracking up, I relate. I love how well the lip glass matches your nail polish. I’ll check out shop style and conquer. They sound great from what you say. I enjoyed watching, great favorites!

    • The braids look complicated, but they are actually very easy.

  • Love your braid! I’ve been really into lip gloss lately and Star Quality looks so beautiful. Definitely need to pick up a tube of that and the Ole Henriksen face oil. I’m trying to find my holy grail face oil so definitely need to give that one a try.

  • I really love the Cremesheen Glass formula, I know some people the fact that they look „milky“ but that what I love about them!

    • I have only one other shade, but I enjoy them more than other glosses I own.

  • Linda, I am in love with your braided hairstyle in this video! As for skincare products, I can’t believe I never tried anything from Ole Henriksen yet. I should definitely start with that face oil; in fact, I just checked your review and it seems like something I should start using. I also love that Essie Watermelon colour; it looks beautiful and perfect for summer days. Thanks so much for sharing and have a great weekend!:)

    • I can highly recommend the Ole Henriksen skincare range, they have some amazing products.

  • I really like that nail polish – I should look out my red polish next. My nails are currently a very chipped OPI „Lincoln park after dark“. I’ve only had one Essie polish and was never too impressed with it – should try a different shade next time they are on special 🙂

Hope that your weather improves – we had a very summer like autumn so perhaps you will experience the same?

Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer sounds like a product I am missing in my beauty stash! Shade adjusting drops sound very very handy as mistakes with shade matching sometimes do happen.

Thanks for being considerate, hon. Just the courage, first of all. And then secondly, all these horror stories people tell me about the amount of hate they get on YB. Have you ever had a nasty comment on your channel, sweetie? Not that I would care much about the negativity the person who’s thousands miles away from me decides to spread but still. Chickening out. Need to just take a leap 🙂
