  • Ooh great haul! That Clinique set is perfect! Having used Zoeva now, I feel like they’re much better than Real Rechniques. I found some of my RT brushes very scratchy after using them for a long time, that hasn’t happened with Zoeva yet! xx

    Advaita | Blush Canvas

    • So far I am liking the RT ones, but cant comment on how well they wash, obviously. The Zoeva ones are still as soft as the day I bought them, so they really stay in great shape.

  • Lovely picks! I should probably try the Body Shop Shade adjusting drops as, usually, the lightest shade is still a little bit too dark for me! I guess I’m just a little bit annoyed that I have to go through this to get my perfect match!
    http://fannyanddailybeauty.com

    • I was annoyed at first, too, but it is even more annoying to be the wrong color, and having to bronze up your neck isn’t fun as well. The extra step isn’t taking up much time, and I like to use them for highlighting as well, so they do serve a double purpose.

      • Oh, that is good to know! I’ve actually ordered it today as I was really surprised by the low price, especially in comparison with the one Mac does, and it will allow me to try and wear so much more foundations!

  • Jamie RS

Great review! these products looks great and sounds amazing! I would love to try these:) Thanks for sharing 🙂

  • There’s no need to defend yourself when it comes to this haul- between the gifts and the staple products like those shade adjusting drops, it all seems very reasonable to me. (Plus, I’m sure you’re in good company when it comes to bending th rules of a self-imposed ban on buying new beauty products… lol)

I do not own many Clinique products myself, but those chubby sticks look really nice. I especially like Heftiest Hibiscus.

    http://themakeuptrain.com

    • I have some Chubby sticks that I really enjoy, so I am sure I will get good use out of them in the time to come.
And you are right, I shouldn’t defend myself, but I knew when I was filming that I had already placed another order at Cult Beauty…

  • I haven’t tried anything from your haul.. The Clinique chubby sticks are sooo hyped… I would really like to know how they worked for you… The same goes for the Real Technique brushes… I would really like to hear your opinion 🙂 xx

    • I already know some of the Clinique Chubby sticks and do enjoy them a lot, so i have high hopes. I will let you know once I have put them to the test properly. Same goes for the brushes. The first impression is great, but I will need to see how they wash.

To be honest, I didn’t try anything from the products you mentioned, but there a quite a few of them that I am curious about:) I would love to get that organic shampoo and especially Bobbi Brown corrector, since mine from Clinique is too old to use now.
    P. S. And don’t worry about getting new beauty products to try; I think we are all guilty of that, lol.

    • I ca highly recommend the Bobby Brown Corrector, it is a repurchase and it works amazing at covering my dark circles. I will have a „Fake to look awake“ video up on my channel in late April where you can see how well it works.

  • I’ve been curious to try some of the Body Shop products and looking forward to your review. I tried the Sunday Riley line of skincare and it didn’t perform in the way I had hoped. I don’t have textural, dryness, acne issues but mainly just a few hyper pigmentation spots that I want to fade. I love Real Technique brushes and own several sets.

    • So which RT brushes would you recommend I get as well? And what have you been using for hyper pigmentation?

      • I love the buffing brush for liquid foundation that comes in the core set. The blush brush is a grey size for bronzer as I have a smaller face and the contour brush I use for highlight. I pretty much have all the brushes except for the eye brushes. As for hyper pigmentation I tried products from Murad, Sunday Riley, Olay, Clinique etc and nothing seemed to work. I’ve been using some of the products from Memebox and I feel one of the spots has lightened only after a few days. I’m just going to have to give it some time.

        • Have you tried Retinol-based products?

          • I have and those don’t seem to work either. Eventually I’ll find something that works.

          • Mx only other idea would be Niacinamide. These scars can be hard to cope with.

  • I’ve been searching for clinique products here and I cant find some. I really want to try their products.

  • I have so many things on my wishlist that I should start buying some of them, however the first priority is to get everything sorted for the big day and see if I still have some cash in the account. If I do then, I can just spoil myself 🙂 Can we have hair perfector review, please?

    • A wedding is so expensive, you really need to have your expenses in check until then, I completely understand.
I will post a review of my Olaplaex experience, but I need some more time to fully judge the effects on my hair (and probably have to recolor my hair), but the first impressions are great.

  • I have the powder brush from that Real Techniques set and it’s really fantastic for the price. I had the pleasure of meeting Sam and Nic at an event last year and they were really sweet and down to earth. I’d be interested in seeing a review of the Body Shop Shade Adjusting Drops.

    • They were the first YouTubers I followed, so I just knew I had to try the brushes. And a review of the TBS Shade Adjusting Drops will be up on April 11th.

  • I had one of the Clinique Chubby lip colors, it was a hot pink one, and I love the pigment and how moisturizing it is, but didn’t love how it didn’t last long. I have been on a „no makeup buy“ since the beginning of February, actually I used that for Lent, but once it’s Easter I will be buying makeup again. But it has definitely helped me gain self-control over what I want vs. what I need, an impulse buy vs. something I’ve been eyeing for months. It also forces me to check my bank account more rather than being in denial!

    • I did a real no-buy about two years ago and ever since then I have been more mindful and actually purchased products I really needed or wanted, despite buying products just because I was bored and at the drugstore.
I own a few Clinique Chubby sticks already, and while I agree and they don’t last that long on the lips, I am happy to reapply as they are really hydrating and comfortable to wear. The ones on the eyes last great on me.

  • I finally had the chance to sit down and watch your video, weekend has been so busy with cleaning and more purging skincare/makeup purging. There’s something in the air this Spring because my husband has been clearing up the garage too.

I went from watching your video to reading your Part 1 and 2 on Acid Toning series. I don’t remember reading it before so both were really informative and finally understand the differences in all three acids and which one suits me best. I have been thinking of trying a cheaper alternative to Nip+Fab Glycolic Acid pads (mind you, they weren’t that expensive at the first place), I guess I’m curious about other drugstore brands. Do you know of any drugstore brands that offers acid toners in a bottle?

    Shireen | Reflection of Sanity

    • I don’t think we had met when I wrote them, it was very early on in my blogging journey and I plan on doing an updated version very soon, as there is some information lacking.
Bottled acid toners from the drugstore? Hm. I don’t know where Pixie is available, as I have to order them online, but they are the only ones I can think about on top of my head that do an affordable bottled version. The „Glow Tonic“ is a cheaper alternative to the Clarins Doux Exfoliant I reviewed. I have been using it for a few weeks now and haven’t found a difference despite the price.

  • Kay (shoesandglitter)

This is such a fab little haul! And can I just say, I really love your makeup in this video. You are totally rocking that red lippie! x I love the look of those Clinique chubby sticks, and although I’m not usually a fan of Clinique, I’m tempted to give these a shot – they seem fab and the shades are gorgeous! Bountiful Beige looks like such as lovely, unusual shade. <3

    Kay
    http://shoesandglitter.com

    • I cant speak highly enough of them, they are amazing on the lids and quite hydrating on the lips. They aren’t really long-lasting though, but I don´t mind that.

  • Oooooh, subscribed to your channel, I’ll be watching later tonight! BTW – Your skin is looking so healthy and glowy here!

    • Thank you. I was actually wearing a matte foundation, but I guess everything loos glowy on my skin…

  • Olaplex is a whole system, it’s mostly for when you are going to use bleach in the coloring process as a bond multiplier. It will keep the bleach from breaking down the structure of the hair as much. I think the take home stuff is for after care. Good Genes in always something I want to have on had even though it’s pricy. I use it 3×4 times a week. I’m currently testing Tidal which I think might be good for people who find Good Genes too strong.

    • Yes, as I mentioned I did the Olaplaex treatment in salon and bought the No 3 for at home use, I simply couldn’t show the rest as I didnt have it with me. I actually tried it on your recommendation, and I am curious to see how it works in the long run. After one treatment my hair is pretty healthy, but it usually is the repeated bleach that damages it, so I have to see after maybe a year how great it worked.

  • A little shopping never hurt nobody!
Loving the reviews. Olaplex? First time I am hearing this brand.
    Dora http://www.bangsbang.com

    • Olaplaex isn´t simply a brand, but a treatment. It is meant to reduce the damage done by bleaching and repairing Disulfide bridges that are broken during the process.

  • I’m really getting into the Sunday Riley brand, everything they offer suits my skin perfectly, its just the price tag that puts me off. But if its worth it why not I say, and it is for your skin at the end of the day ♥

    tipscapsule.blogspot.com

    • I firmly believe in investing in my skin rather than a handbag for example, or a lipstick. But of course everyones approach is different.

    • I firmly believe in investing in my skin rather than a handbag for example, or a lipstick. But of course everyones approach is different.

  • I think a little splurge for ourselves now and then is justified! 🙂

I’d love to know more about what you think of the Clinique chubby sticks – I went to a makeup trial at Clinique when I was looking to replace my old makeup and I kinda liked the chubby stick, but definitely not the price, they are so expensive here and I’m not sure if the price was really justified…..

    Away From The Blue Blog

    • I do own some and really love them. On the eyes they are a quick and easy to blend color that doesn’t crease on me (the ones I tried at least). The ones for the lips are pretty hydrating, but not extremely long-lasting, which I don’t mind. There are differences in pigmentation though, „Oversized Orange“ is one of the sheerer formulas. I only tried the blush stick a few times, and it is easy to wear, but not extremely pigmented as well. I think they are great for someone that prefers a more subtle makeup look.

  • I love Fuller Fudge! I need to dig it out and start using it again 🙂 Good Genes is calling my name (read your review as well), but I’ve already introduced quite a bit of new stuff to my skincare regime, I might get a sample in a few months and try it out.

    • Try a sample to see if it works with your skin, but it has been one of my all time favorite products to date.

  • I’m a big fan of the Chubby Sticks, the original lip ones in particular! I also have a Cheek stick that I should put in my rotation a little more often.
    Beaumiroir

  • Really digging the swatches. I think I have a few Chubby Sticks somewhere. Or had. I might have to find them and actually use them. Oops!

    • The problems of an extensive collection, I can totally relate.

  • great video! i love real techniques brushes 😀

I have yet to dye my hair and am nervous about the damage. I’d like to dye it black to cover greys, but I’d probably need something like that Olaplex. And I’d love to hear how that shampoo is as well. I also love those glasses your wearing. They look beautiful on you!

    http://www.thefashionsalt.com

    • Olaplex is mainly to prevent the damage from bleaching, which you wouldn’t need when going black. Best talk to your hair dresser and ask for his recommendations. I will update you on th shampoo after I used it for a little longer, but so far I have been loving it.
Is you hair all black? It sometimes looks like a dark brown in the pictures.

      • thefashionsalt

It’s a really dark brown, but I figured I“d dye it black. I’m nervous though because my skin is pretty sensitive and the dyes are pretty strong. I have yet to find a good hairdresser since I usually just cut it myself. Thank you Anne 🙂

        • I´d never dye without a hairdresser, most attempts I have seen were horrible in the end.
