Resveratrol Premium Essence of Youth – Do you like wine?

Did I tell you that my father owns a vineyard in the South of France? I know I did on Instagram, but I am not sure I mentioned it here. He has been into wine for as long as I can remember, collecting precious bottles, tasting different grapes and finally venturing into production himself.

Now I don’t like wine.

At all.

I don’t drink it. I know nothing about soils and grapes and stuff. I don’t even like the smell.

I was a huge disappointment to my father.

Until I found the one thing that can get me all excited about wine. Or the grapes at least.

The skincare benefits of course!

Resveratrol in particular. And against common belief in the blogosphere, there is more than the one brand everybody automatically thinks of when it comes to this antioxidant gem.

Let me introduce you to M. Asams Resveratrol Essence of Youth serum*.

What M. Asam claims:

This serum with valuable resveratrol, paracress extract and vitamin E helps your skin to protect itself from negative environmental influences. Enriched with precious oils like grape seed oil, organ oil and apricot kernel oil it leaves your skin feeling velvety soft. For a younger looking complexion.

Facts:

Size and price:

One bottle contains 50 ml and retails for 29,50 ml here.

Packaging:

A convenient pump that disperses exactly the right amount of product (one pump for my face and neck), housed in a see-through plastic container with golden details. To be honest, I prefer the sleek black and white design, but it hold up well when traveling.

Texture and scent:

A very light, slightly sweet scent that isn’t noticeable once applied and a lightweight, easy to distribute texture. My skin feels fresh and hydrated after application and the serum sinks in quick enough to work great under makeup. It isn’t white, but has a faint peachy tint that will by no means be color correcting, but might add a little radiance to otherwise dull skin.

A slight peachy tint, barely noticeable when applied.

Favorable ingredients:

  • Grape Seed Oil/Extract: Antioxydant, rich in linoleic acid, moisturizing, anti-inflammatory
  • Glycerin: Moisturizing
  • Apricot Kernel Oil: Antioxydant, moisturizing, anti-inflammatory
  • Squalane: Moisturizing, occurs in skin naturally
  • Shea Butter: Moisturizing
  • Spilanthes Acmella Flower Extract: Firming, stimulating collagen production
  • Argan Oil: Moisturizing, antioxydant

Unfavorable Ingredients:

  • Alcohol (among the last five ingredients, so not much)
  • Fragrance
  • Preservatives

Does it live up to its claims?

Yes.

It is jam-packed with antioxidants, defending the skin against environmental damage. It is moisturizing, leading to a younger looking appearance and my skin feels very soft after using it.

Will I rebuy?

Yes.

I love the ingredient list, the feel on my skin and the fact that despite containing oils it is so light weight I can easily use it in the mornings.

Who do I recommend it to?

If you want to protect your skin from free radicals and keep it moisturized throughout the day, that one is for you.

If your skin is combination oily, but still in need of moisture, this one will be perfect for your morning routine.

Only the very dry skinned people out there will probably need a richer formula to keep them satisfied.

Now did it help me bond with my father? Luckily we have so much more to talk about than wine and skin care, it wasn’t really necessary. But I passed a sample to my mother, who is really enjoying it so far.

Do you like wine?

And have you heard about that product before?
