  • your face when you were talking about stem cells hahahaaha.. really some brands slap on anything on a product just to differentiate themselves from others.. havent tried any sheet masks ever so cant recommend any unfortunately.

    • No sheet masks? How did you manage to escape this trend?

      • dont quote me on this (because when it comes to beauty, more often than not i’m living under a rock) but i *think* sheet masks havent really hit the Indian market yet

  • I will come back to this video next time I need some sheet masks! I don’t think I ever found a top coat which doesn’t dry out and become unusable after a few months of use, that’s a shame, but I’ve sincerely tried so many top coats and I’ve never truly finished any of them!

    • My last one did last quite a long time, but it was´t quick drying. So maybe quick drying equals quick drying out? I think I will stick to travel sizes from now on.

  • I’m also big on dry shampoo because I only wash my hair twice a week as well. I’ve yet to try the Batiste one though. My favorite is the Alterna Bamboo Translucent Dry Shampoo. Hope you enjoyed your pizza 🙂

  • Dry shampoo is a life saver! Who has time to wash and style their hair every single day!? I wish that sheet masks would work for my skin, but for some reason every time I’ve tried one I always end up breaking out. 🙁

    • I skip the styling 9 times out of 10, to be honest. With all the chasing toddlers I only wear my hair down about twice a month.
Breaking out from a sheet mask sounds bad. Which kind of masks did you use?

It’s taking out the trash time already, time flies. I don’t use the dry shampoo but probably should. Will look into it for sure.

    • It is taking out the trash time every month at the moment. I am very good at finishing stuff.

  • Oh shame about the OPI quick dry not lasting! I am going to need to look into some kind of quick dry topcoat, and I’d heard good things about OPI, but if it gunks up before you can use it all it’s not the one for me!

    • I have had a few comments telling me that this is an issue with many quick drying top coats.

      • Oh it’s a bit annoying there are a lot like that! 🙁

  • Great video as usual! I’ve been curious about trying a quick dry, but now I know that I shouldn’t head for OPI so thank you haha! Xx

    • I am not sure if other quick drying top coats perform any better, but I have yet to try other ones.

  • I watch this video and next to me is a bag full of my August empties. With my mini „blogging break“ I’m not sure when I’ll get around to posting them, but August was the biggest product use up month for us! I need to get this seaweed mask, and I used to love the OPI top coat and totally forgot about it in time!

    • Did it ry out on you so quickly as well or did I get one from a bad batch?

  • I always see the same Global sheet masks at my local Winners store (similar to TJMaxx or is it TKMaxx?) but wasn’t sure if it’s any good so never purchased it. Now that I seen this video and it has your approval, will definitely buy it the next time I swing by there. I’m also happy that you love the Guardian masks! Will make sure to pick up some the next time I fly home to Malaysia.

    • It is TKMaxx in Germany and TJMaxx in the States. And Guardian is readily available in Malaysia? I need to put it on my travel bucket list then.

      • Guardian is the biggest chain pharmacy in Malaysia, you see it in every corner. And yes, you need to visit Malaysia! 😊

        • I will try to schedule it to one of your visits so you can show me around.

  • You were right to speak out about how brands use marketing to sell their products. We don’t need a fancy name, we need good ingredients, a clear composition and results! It can be hard to trust a brand once you know they’re trying to sell a concept rather than an actual efficiency. I wish brands made it clearer what their skincare products are designed for and what they are made of, when you’re not too familiar with skincare ingredients (like me) it would be really useful!

    • I don’t think the time will come where we can trust brands, they will always try to make us buy the stuff with promising heaven on earth. Educating yourself in ingredients is all that helps.

  • Aw, I’m sorry to hear about your top coat turning gloopy! It’s always a pain when a product dries out before its purported date. Also, I very much agree with you on brands that focus so much energy on marketing „mystery ingredients“ rather than on, perhaps, listening to consumers or improving their formulas. The sensationalized language can be quite annoying, not to mention misleading.

    • I don’t get why they just stick with the amazing ingredients they have anyway, it would be so much better.

  • I love your taking out the trash posts&videos! How annoying about the top coat! i hate it when products do that!
