Monthly Recap – Blog Post Topics November 2018

November is done and dusted, and tomorrow will be the day I get the boxes with Christmas decoration from the basement and start randomly putting them on available surface spots.

Not kidding here, I am a lost cause when it comes to decorating, no matter how much Inspiration Boards I have on Pinterest.

But I am making an effort, for the kids mostly, as I want them to embrace the spirit of the season.

While we get all festive here, why not take the time and browse through my most recent blogposts, just in case you missed some? And if you did, consider subscribing to my Newsletter here, which I will actually send out once more than me and my mother are subscribed.

I know that having an actual mailing list is uber important for blogs, but given that we share a house I don´t think my mother needs my updates electronically.

This blog post will be shorter than last months (see here), as I decided to cut back on my posting schedule and stick to Mondays and Thursdays for the time to come. With a random extra thrown in, I guess, seeing that I post this on a Saturday.

Skincare

If you have been around here for a little while, you know that I am a huge fan of the brand Instytutum (Brand Overview Video here). One product I hadn´t tried from the brand yet was their Instytutum C-Illuminating 3D Moisturizer, but I got the chance last month. Now all I still need is their new Retinol Face Oil…

On the more budget friendly side of the spectrum I finally wrote about the Cattier Paris Clay Masks, a great and affordable French clay mask set that offers variations aimed at different skin types, and the THE INKEY LIST Caffeine, an eye serum that within weeks managed to shoot straight to the top of my yearly favorites list.

THE INKEY LIST also features in my “Skincare Gift Guide For Mature Skin” that I uploaded to give you an alternative to buying perfume, and after watching “Does blue light from our screens damage our skin?” you might consider moving your chair back a little when watching my videos.

Makeup

If a foundation comes with the claims “lightweight” “full coverage” “matte effect” you can bet I will try it. 9 times out of 10 sadly I will be disappointed though, because as you can see in my “Foundation Review essence #instaperfect foundation” they will be far from matte on my skin.

One of the reason another foundation features in my “What´s in my Makeup Bag for Autumn 2018” video, where I show you my current makeup favorites. With application, though not as a full tutorial.

But as many of you asked for my down-to earth and wearable (the nice way of saying basic and boring) makeup tutorials to come back, I will gladly point you towards my Instagram and my Facebook page, as I do them on Instagram Live and then recycle the content for Facebook and IGTV (which, according to a recent and statistically not significant poll I made, none of you bother watching)

Lifestyle

There isn´t much to showcase here, as I did cut back on my more rambly posts in an attempt to still bring you valuable information, but “Body Neutrality – A new way?” is one that I am very proud of. So many of you opened up in the comments and in private messages about your own concerns, and it was heart warming to see that I am not alone in my struggles.

So, bring on the lights and the cookies and the Christmas Markets now!
