I recently read a great article on marketing claims on a fellow bloggers website (Skin Care Inspirations). The article was inspired by someone asking her on Instagram why she accepted mineral oil in her skincare if she wouldn´t put it in her salad, which lead to a very interesting read about whether or not natural is always better, especially if you have sensitive skin.
The reason why I link her here is because the klairs Soft Airy UV Essence SPF 50 PA++++ claims to be an “everyday sun protector for sensitive skin”, while still containing Citrus Aurantium Dulcis Oil.
Citrus essential oils in SPF are strange to say the least, as many (not this one) contain furocumarine, which are phototoxic and should not be applied within 12 hours before sun exposure. And while Citrus Aurantium Dulcis oil does NOT contain furocumarine, essential oils in general are potentially sensitizing (just like artificial fragrance is), so I wouldn´t recommend them for sensitive skin.
Why it was added to the klairs Soft Airy UV Essence in the first place? I don´t know, but I will share my thoughts on the product below.

I actually wanted to try Huda Beauty a while ago, when they released their Faux Filter Foundation (that still sits on my list of things to try). But when I went to get color matched, the Sephora sales person in Berlin was that rude and unhelpful I decided not to spend any money there and just leave the store.
That put me off the brand a little, but when I received the Huda Beauty Mauve Obsessions Palette as a GWP, I figured it was a sign to let go of that grudge and get testing.
To keep things short and sweet I filmed a review and tutorial for one look, but added pictures of two other makeup looks at the end, along with where I used which shade – Do let me know if you prefer it this way or want step by step tutorials on all looks next time.
Another Monthly Recap post so soon? Well, the last one (read her) was two weeks late and I don´t like not sticking to my self-inflicted schedule
Ja, jeg vet at jeg bare kunne ha tilpasset tidsplanen, men det er ikke slik jeg gjør ting.
Anyway, September saw me back to work and, I am not going to lie, Â struggling. The problem with being on holiday is that you are away.
Som er helt poenget, får jeg det, men etterlater så mange ting som venter på deg når du kommer tilbake, det kan være overveldende.
On top of that being away always gives me time to think, and thinking very often leads to ideas. Ideas are great, but must be followed by actions if you don´t want utter frustration, and that means – more work.
Så hvis du legger til jobbarbeid til blog-arbeid og deretter rører litt ekstra idearbeid, er det 24 timer faktisk ganske kort.
But enough complaints, let´s get into my blog post topics of the month of September!

På grunn av det faktum at jeg gjør mitt blogginnlegg halv tysk, halv engelsk, kan det bli litt forvirrende.
Different regulations depending on whether you are in Europe or in the US, different formulations of your favorite products, even slightly different names which makes SEO a nightmare – Â I have seen it all.
But when I did my research for the Caudalie Vinopure Clear Skin Purifying Toner, I had to double check, because the German website read… cleansing lotion. Had I been using it all wrong?
Turns out that no, I hadn’t. You are supposed to apply it on your skin with a cotton pad, no rinsing, which in my books is more a toner step than a cleansing one. Semantics. The US website calls it Caudalie Vinopure Clear Skin Purifying Toner, so I will stick with that.
Times are busy, and I feel like they get busier every day. Catching up with my favorite blogs daily is something I haven´t been able to do in a long while, and as I figured you are probably in the same boat, I decided to introduce the Monthly Recap series.
It is meant to be an overview of all the blog posts I have written, all the videos I have uploaded and a few extra informations thrown in for good measure. To make it easier to find what you are interested in I split it in three categories: Skincare, Makeup and Lifestyle.
Looking back at August for me means looking back at my annual holiday in France, two weeks filled with sun, sea and (probably too many) croissants. I decided against vlogging (it would just have been me eating all the time), but put up a France 2018 Highlight on my Instagram Profile should you be in the mood for some snaps.
