Laura Geller Baked Balance-N-Brighten Color Correcting Foundation – Food

This blog post uses affiliate links and thus qualifies as advertisement. Please read disclaimer. My love for food is well documented on this blog, but did you know that this gets triggered by food related makeup? No joking, if something is called Gelato Swirl, Honey Bronze or just Baked Whatever, I start salivating.     And yes, I am well aware that I am so not selling the Laura Geller Baked Balance-N-Brighten Color Correcting Foundation to you here, linking it to mental images of saliva and me stuffing my face.…

Month in Review January 2019

The first month of 2019 has passed already, and as always it was a particularly grey and gloomy one here in Germany. We did have snow, but it only lasted briefly, despite a week of bitter cold. Chilly winds, biting frost, you get the idea. Now, it is still Southern Germany, so I may exaggerate a little, but stay with me, it will help set the mood.     And in this cold and chill (and tiny bits of snow) I took off my coat and posed for some pictures in…

Low-Buy 2019 – Here is how I do it

It is funny that as soon as a New Year starts, new buzz words appear out of nowhere. My top three so far? Pollution, prebiotics and low-buy! And while I won´t go into detail on pollution and prebiotics (both skincare related) as I have dedicated videos planned on those topics, I figured I would join in on Low-Buy 2019 and tell you how I plan to do it.     In all honesty, I have been on a Low-Buy for more than three years already. Ever since I went on…

Avon mark Big & Extreme Mascara

This blogpost contains PR-Samples and may use affiliate links. Please read disclaimer. Mascara reviews. I haven’t done them in a while. In fact, the last one I did was on IGTV (Anyone remember that platform? It seems only brands upload teasers of their new releases there anymore.)     Kind of strange, when you think of it, as mascara is the makeup item I use every day and is the one that I replace most frequently. I might not be worried too much about expiration dates in my other face…

Monthly Recap – Blog Post Topics December 2018

And just like that, another month has passed, and with this, 2018 comes to an end. Did it drag on? Did it fly by? I have heard both. But I am not here today to reflect on the year that passed, no. I want to talk about the month that ends today, my hectic and sugar filled December.     Although maybe hectic isn´t the right word (sugar filled is, no denying that). Maybe eventful is more fitting, given that I thoroughly enjoyed every event I attended, Christmas related or…

Glam Holiday Makeup Tutorial for mature skin

This blog post uses affiliate links. Please read disclaimer. I love a glamorous makeup look as much as the next beauty blogger, but even if I´d say I am wearing quite a lot of makeup compared to other women around me, I can´t help but feel a little intimidated by the Full Glam Holiday Makeup Tutorials I have seen recently.     Glitter, red lips, I am down for that (in fact I want to be buried with my favorite red lipstick, just in case you actually CAN take things…

Monthly Recap – Blog Post Topics November 2018

This blog post contains affiliate links. Please read disclaimer. November is done and dusted, and tomorrow will be the day I get the boxes with Christmas decoration from the basement and start randomly putting them on available surface spots. Not kidding here, I am a lost cause when it comes to decorating, no matter how much Inspiration Boards I have on Pinterest. But I am making an effort, for the kids mostly, as I want them to embrace the spirit of the season.     While we get all festive…

What´s in my makeup bag for autumn 2018

This blogpost contains affiliate links and *PR-Samples. Please read disclaimer. To be fair, I don´t actually have a makeup bag. Well, I do, but I don´t use it to store my everyday makeup in. But I do have a very tiny bathroom (if you ever watched one of my Instagram Lives you can see me banging my head at the slanting walls), and a husband I need to share that bathroom space with.     And that basically means that most of my makeup lives in my basement/office/filming room and…

essence #instaperfect Foundation Review

This blog post uses affiliate links. Please read disclaimer. To be honest, I almost didn´t buy this foundation because of the name. I mean, #instaperfect? That sums up everything I do NOT stand for: the hashtag-life, Instagram makeup, even perfection isn´t something I can relate to.     But the claims… The siren song of words like matte, flawless and buildable coverage was strong. So Instagram Makeup aside, today I am here to show you how the essence #instaperfect foundation wears on mature and oily skin.

Monthly Recap – Blog Post Topics October 2018

This blog post contains affiliate links and *PR-Samples. Please see disclaimer. October was the month that autumn well and truly arrived in Germany. Up until October 19th it was warm enough to leave the house without a jacket, even in the evenings, something that I only realized when on that day, October 19th, I actually felt a chill walking back to the car with Mr. Loca at 10 pm. Now Germany is not a cold country, but that was unusual.     As it was to be expected, the period…
