Taking out the trash IX – Empties

As I mention at the end of the video, that was supposed to be my September Empties. Yeah, I know.     In my defense, I do have a ton of video ideas and barely any time to film and edit them, so I guess I will leave the “monthly” empties schedule and sneak them in as a Sunday bonus video whenever I find the time. What better way to spend a Sunday then talking about trash, am I right?

Taking out the trash VI – June 2016 Empties

Empties and watermelon – is there anything else you need for a chilled summer evening? I don’t think so. This months version features a lot of Antipodes products, which brings back memories of our road trip to New Zealand. And of course turns up the ancient question: Why does everything always have to run out at the same time?

Taking out the trash IV – April 2016 Empties

Again I have been collecting my empty skincare containers and the few bits of makeup that are actually not going to be used anymore and threw all in for a video.   Go get yourself a cup of tea, as it is a long one, but you will be rewarded with mini-reviews and a whole lot of dirty packaging. New In March 2016 – I have been shopping

I know, I know. I have told you many times that my collection is overflowing, that I really need to cut back on buying new stuff and that I own more skincare than any sane person probably should.   But in my defense: I really needed to restock on some things, and I DO have another Empties video just around the corner, so… Oh well, I just did a little haul-ing. Please click below if you want to see what I got. Aktivieren Sie JavaScript um das Video zu sehen.https://youtu.be/sJmecc4w-jA

Favorite Face of February 2016

If you are not familiar with the “Favorite Face of …” series, click here for a little introduction. Short story even shorter, it is the makeup that I wore most during that month, featuring the favorite (as in most used) makeup products.     Even though I don’t celebrate Valentines Day, I feel like February is the month were you really can´t escape the pinks. And even though pink usually looks either washed out on me or like I am trying to to Barbie-Cosplay (I wish I had that waist…),…

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel – What a difference a day makes

Sometimes a day can make all the difference. It doesn’t have to be one of the life-changing experiences, or a big loss. Sometimes just a few hours are all it needs. I for one can be absolutely fine in the mornings, all happy and calm, but a crying mess in the evening. No special reason, of course. Mr. Loca calls it exhausting and wearing, I call it emotionally flexible and versatile. But I digress.   I admit, it took me more than a few hours to change my mind towards Cliniques Dramatically…

Favorite products 2015 Part I – Skincare, hair care, body care

It is the final days of 2015, a time spend on reflecting and looking back, so I figured I´d share my musings with you and show you my favorite products of 2015. To help you decide what you want to watch, I divided it into two videos: One featuring skin-, hair and body care and one talking all things makeup. That way I was able to keep them short(er) as well, which is always a bonus. Today we are covering skin- hair and body care, makeup will be up on the 3rd of…

Favorite Face of November 2015

If you are not familiar with the “Favorite Face of …” series, click here for a little introduction. Short story even shorter, it is the makeup that I wore most during that month, featuring the favorite (as in most used) makeup products. As many of you may know already, I am currently at home. But as I  stated here, I wore makeup almost every single day to get me into a “work mindset”. Granted, it was a quick and easy look skipping foundation most days, but it was all I needed to…

Inspired by… Chanel Rouge Noir Absolument 2015

If you are not familiar with the “Inspired by…” series, click here for an explanation. But short story even shorter, each month I choose a seasonal ad and try to recreate the models look with colors I already own. Dressing up and awkward posing included! Chanel Rouge Noir Absolument 2015 Collection   This time the Chanel Rouge Noir Absolument 2015 ad had tickled my fancy. Such a pretty and glamorous makeup! The purple shadow, the glossy lip, the dark nails and the perfect matte skin. I can totally see me wearing this…

Making an impact – Clinique High Impact Mascara

Okay, I admit, this introduction will not get noticed as one of the most surprising or creative ones, but  sometimes we all need to go the easy road. The highest impact in my life lately has been becoming a mother. There are several occasions in our life, like moving out, getting your first real job with real working hours or probably getting married, that profoundly change the way you live. Deep down, in your very core, maybe not noticeable at first, the person you have been changes. Same happens when…
