Is there anything more exiting than a bag full of new items to play with?
Well, of course there is and we both know.
But as this is a makeup and beauty blog, let´s just pretend that the answer is no and take a look at what I bought recently to spice up my mornings.
1. Nutriganics Smoothing Serum (The Body Shop)
“Softens, revitalizes and improves skin´s suppleness. First signs of aging”
Recommended by my number one skincare enabler Caroline Hirons as suitable for all skin types, also without parabens or silicones and budget friendly, it had to be included into my next The Body Shop order.
2. Garnier Skin Naturals Miracle Skin Cream Eye
This was kind of a mispurchase, as I was opting for a plain eye cream and did not realize that this was part eye cream, part concealer. But after contemplating taking it back, I decided to give it a go. Maybe it is a miracle product that will save me an extra step in the morning? I will keep you posted.
3. Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector Matte effect BB Cream for oily and combination skin in light
I´m a bit late to the party with this one, but better late than never, am I right?
Combined UVA-/UVB-Protection, anti-shine, hydrating… Sounds good.
1. Maybelline Matte Maker Mattifying Poder in 15 Light Beige
One can never have too many setting powders, and this is quite budget friendly. It comes across quite peachy in the photo above, which it is not. I will post better pictures soon.
2. The Body Shop Honey Bronzer in 02 fair matte
This summer it was nearly impossible not to read about this bronzer in the blogosphere. Essiebutton was the first mentioning it, then amodelrecommends and finally Kalter Kaffee (an austrian beautyblogger). So when my trusty Catrice Sun Glow Matte Bronzing Powder shattered on the bathroom tiles, it was time to give it a go.
3. L´Oréal Paris Glam Matte Intense Matte Gloss in 511 “Skinny Tangerine”
Orangey-red, smells like fruit chew, perfect for summer. This has already made it into my Summer favorites (see here)
4. L´Oréal Paris Color Riche L´Extraordinaire in 600 “Nude Vibrato” and 102 “Rose Finale”
“Color intensity of a lipstick, magnifying shine of a gloss, softness of a balm” (source: L´Oréal Paris homepage)
That are a lot of claims. Of course I had to give them a go.
Going out of my nudey-peach comfort zone with “Rose Finale”, I really discovered a gem. (See it on my lips here)
Alverde Body Butter and Shower Gel in “Vanilla Mandarine”
Only available in Germany (at DM) and limited edition I fear, but the smell is divine, and Alverde is an all organic and cruelty free brand.
Some of the products mentioned here are already featured in previous posts, which is quite unusual, as this post is called “New In”. Reason is, I don´t buy them all at once but won´t upload a New In with just one lipstick, so sometimes they have been around for a month or two when this post goes live.
As I will never be disciplined enough to not use them, chances are that they have already found a place in my heart and on my blog.
