I promise this is the last time you need to sit with me through sound issues.
See, in an attempt to be the most efficient I could be I bulk filmed a few videos. It was only when I got down to editing, quite some time later, that I realized the sound was completely messed up.
In all four videos. And as per usual I was so late with editing, I simply couldn’t refilm them! Or, in case of this September Empties video, I had thrown out all the stuff already.
Ah, now you know my dirty secret: I actually filmed my September Empties back in July! What can I say, I need content like that for when I am too busy holidaying in France (and probably shopping for skincare) to create something new.
Motivation can come from different sources. Like, you motivate yourself because you really want something. Or you are motivated by something external, like the bonus you´ll get if your work turns out superior.
And sometimes you are motivated by another person. Your wife, for example. Like it happened in the case of developing the Caudalie Premier Cru Serum. Dr. David Sinclair (Harvard) was approached by Caudalie with a research question and almost declined the offer. Almost. Until his wife said: „Oh, Caudalie? I use a lot of their stuff.“
True Story? I don´t know. I read it in a magazine and immediately knew I had to give the Caudalie Premier Cru Serum a go – good thing my mother had a bottle in her bathroom cabinet already.

Did you know that on public holidays as well as on every Sunday, stores are closed in Germany? No quickly popping into town to get some food, no aimlessly wandering around looking for cute things to buy.
A public holiday (or every Sunday) is a holiday for everyone. Even the people working in retail. That may change, no matter how you personally feel about it, but at the moment it is my reality.
And every year I watch clips of the Boxing Day madness going on in other parts of the world from the comfort of my own home. I pat my belly, shift my weight from one side to the other (yes, the Christmas indulgence does bring back memories of the late stages of pregnancy) and wonder: Is there still anything we need to buy?
